The Crown and Tuns

Kathy and Anton Hayter have transformed the Crown and Tuns, New Street, Deddington into a stunning welcoming pub/restaurant ( which is also known as Pudding Face, the pie place), with more than a passing interest in home made puddings and pies.
Inside, the versatile split level venue is spread over two floors, built around a u-shaped bar, which is decorated in a modern, comfortable rustic style.
And there cannot be many pubs that have a poem written by a customer painted on their wall!

Kathy and Anton want their customers to relax in the pub as if they were sitting in their mum's or a friend's farmhouse kitchen.

"Our concept at the Crown and Tuns is that everything is homemade, using local produce where possible. This ensures the best possible results, time after time," Kathy said.

Because of the pub's policy, its menu changes on a daily basis, but some of its mouth-watering pies include: venison, gin and juniper; pigeon, spiced vegetable and beef and Hook Norton Ale.
