Inside the pub, railway memorabilia subtly adorns the walls. The fresh flowers and candles add to a very comfortable atmosphere.

One might say it is a bit of a gastro pub and serves a wide range of freshly prepared dishes, including fish, meat, game and poultry.

Your meal can be perfectly complemented by a glass of wine from the expansive choice from around the world which appear on the wine list. Champagne by the glass is popular with many customers as is Hooky Bitter. .
As well as a variety of Hook Norton Ales, the pub offers a monthly guest ale.

Four luxury double bedrooms have been opened at The Great Western Arms in Ayhno. Ideal for the business traveler or visitors to Oxford or The Cotswolds, this canalside pub is only five minutes drive from Junction 10 on the M40. Each room is stylish and modern and designed for calmness says Frank Baldwin.

The rooms’ colours are natural, warming and are in harmony with the region’s famous yellow stone. All the rooms have a flatscreen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The car park is large and suitable for most vehicles. Two of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms and two have en-suite wetrooms.
