Features: pub dining
The Marston Inn at Marston St. Lawrence dates back to the 15th century and was once three farm cottages. In the Civil War it was seized by Oliver Cromwell just before the Battle of Edge Hill and used to raise funds for his army.
A real country pub in a peaceful setting serving great pub food in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Large enclosed front lawn; children welcome, real fire, dominoes, Aunt Sally, darts and a large car park. The village is famed for its love of cricket and the pub features several cricketing mementos.
Also Hook Norton Brewery has awarded the Marston Inn with a "most improved" award in best kept exterior competition.
