Features: pub dining, al-fresco dining
The Rose and Crown, a traditional 17th century coaching inn, is the first venture for Steve and he is enjoying being part of a village community. The pub is popular with villagers and visitors.
Garden
The well sheltered walled garden is complete with a patio area that provides customers with a pleasant al-fresco dining experience as they enjoy the food from the Chinese menu or prepared on our professional gas barbecue.
Pub restaurant
The Rose and Crown’s 24-seat restaurant is delightfully decorated in an attractive oriental style serving a wide selection of fresh quality food from the Chinese menu. The restaurant also provides a popular takeaway service with an extensive menu for the local area. They can also arrange for Party bookings and have a Sunday buffet every other week. Please call to confirm for the buffet.
The friendly pub supports local football and cricket teams and also has a successful darts teams. They also actively support local fundraising organisations. Picturesque thatched cottages framed by wisteria and a weeping willow in the village centre give Chipping Warden an air of serenity but it’s past was not quite so peaceful.
The village airfield is the best preserved of a string of bomber training bases across the south Midlands used during the Second World War. The airfield is now used for commercial storage and so has been protected from decay.
