Joe and Jo Pervis are the tenants at The White Swan Inn, Wigginton. The pub is located in the small stone built Oxfordshire village of Wigginton, off the A361 and has been licensed since 1793.
Joe and Jo offer a warm welcome to all. This rural village pub is a fabulous place offering good beer, good company and proper home cooked food made with locally sourced ingredients. A range of Hook Norton Cask Ales are available to accompany a varied menu of good pub food.
And if the weather is good there is often a BBQ in the garden. An open bar with two feature log fires give the pub a warm and welcoming atmosphere on cold days and evenings to locals, walkers, cyclists and holiday makers.
The pub is an ideal base for ramblers who want to explore the local countryside. Walkers can leave their cars in the pub’s car park before returning for lunch and a pint of Hooky, however booking is advised. Wigginton offers holiday makers a quiet, relaxed stay with letting cottages available or at the Bed and Breakfast next to the pub, The Pretty Bush Barn. The White Swan is ideally located for access to a number of local attractions, including The Hook Norton Brewery, The Wigginton Wildfowl Sanctuary and Broughton Castle.
There is a pub darts team and in the summer, Aunt Sally is played in the garden. There is an acoustic music night on the first Tuesday of each month – all are welcome. The pub raises money to support the Katharine House Hospice.
