About the Cherington Arms Shipton
Nick & Hilary Holt, licencees of The Cherington Arms have won awards in the Hook Norton Best Kept Cellar competition every year since 2003.
The wine list is regulary reveiwed with the help of local wine merchant S H Jones to keep it both seasonal and topical. A new feature proving to be very popular is our wine of the month choice, reasonably priced at £10 per bottle.
Pub dining
Food is served in our newly decorated dining room and also in the lounge area, public bar, garden and patio. The menu reflects the experiences Nick has gathered through his training both through college and his work in London at firstly The Langham Holten and then at the launch of One Aldwych, a hotel owned by a previous local restauranter Gordon Carpell Grey.
All of his food is freshly prepared and homemade, local suppliers and their produce used as often as possible.
We offer two menus, A'lcarte and a lighter snack menu - these provide our customers with a diverse choice of dishes that can be enjoyed where most comfortable.
Each week we add two specials to our menu, a starter and a main course, allowing us to provide continuous seasonal variety.
